Why we need buildings to go in for redevelopment?

As we get older, we become weaker. Similarly, the buildings that we construct also become older and weaker. While we can do repair work but that will only increase the life of a building by four to five years. It is also not possible to take care of seepage, weak walls, foundations and leaking water pipes. Hence, buildings go in for redevelopment. .
