Most people don't know what the process is and don't even discuss the issue. If you're in this position wondering what farming patches are, how they are of different kinds or where to go to find the correct one, you're at the right spot! In this week's article, we'll go over OSRS Farming Patches and the Farming skill fundamentals, and the best place to go to find the patches for farming you require.
What's Farming?
To begin, what's farming all about? The farming skill allows players to cultivate seeds, and then harvest the fruits to earn profitable objects. There are many varieties of seeds, but they can all be classified according to one of eight kinds: allotment, flower herb, hops, trees, bush fruit trees, and other special varieties of crops. Each type of crops has patches that are specifically designated for the particular type of seed - scattered across the vast world of RuneScape. There are exceptions to this rule. are flowers that can be grown wherever as well as special crops that all have their specific areas of development.
In addition to planting the right area for each kind of seed, different seeds have their own requirements. For instance, treeseeds require pots for trees to produce saplings prior to when they can be planted. Allotment seeds require three of a particular kind of seed to be planted in one plant. Additionally, certain types of plants can be affected by disease however that's a subject to be discussed in a different guide. In the meantime, you should know that in order to grow plants that are worthwhile it is important to conduct some research on the requirements and the additional costs each plant might incur prior to deciding to put a tonne of gold in the seeds you plant.
Important Considerations
Before you begin farming, another important aspect to consider into your choice of crop is the length of the crop's growth cycle and the amount of time you'd like to devote to cultivating. The crops don't end up dying after they've fully grown, which means that you could return two weeks or even a month later to harvest if want to, however the majority of players take part in "crop run" every occasionally to earn a little extra money and improve their farming skills more easily. If you'd like to do crops once every couple of days, or even every week and you'll reap more from longer-term crops. However, if you are able to play for hours or more per day, you may want to make several runs each day, and also shorter-term crops.
In a similar vein it's important to think about your mobility abilities. If you're a player who's been around for a long time with access to fairy rings, teles, diaries, and high-adjustment and speed, then you'll enjoy a greater ease collecting more patches and doing it faster every time you harvest a crop as opposed to a player at a lower level who may have to spend longer hopping between patches, or perhaps only using only one patch at a. If you're only able to make enough time to use one patch, you'll be in better shape.
If you've chosen your crops and determined the amount of time you're willing to invest then you'll be thinking "where should I be going?" Well, the answer is contingent on the type of crop you're planning to cultivate. Every crop has five patches of farming can be that can be found in the game. The general rule of thumb should be to locate a set of patches that are semi-accessible and the appropriate crops for each to allow you to complete your crop quickly before moving on to other tasks. The patches for farming are listed below, in order from early-game to the end of game content.
